Ben straightened out a real mess for me where somehow (merges?) three different men by the same name (father, son and cousin) were seemingly married to the same woman. It seems the son and cousin did have wives by the same name (cousins?) but to further confuse the issue their children had become mixed together. Ben was able to straighten out the families when I was unable to get into the locked profiles. I simply told… Read the full story

Curator: Henn Sarv

Posted November 13, 2012 by Geni | No Comment

Henn Sarv has long been a very good nice and helpful person. He always helps to connect the trees, and connects to the rest of the branches of the tree, which itself does not immediately detect. Henn never leave a job half way. Henn has often gone much longer than the combination of trees, where at the beginning of thought. Henn always asks about whether now is fine and fit. If one has a problem,… Read the full story

Posted November 8, 2012 by Geni | No Comment

This is a rather simple story but I do owe Martin a great deal of appreciation for the work he has done so far. In my haste to post relatives there were several mistakes made on my part and built on by another Geni member that had posted some misinformation. Martin went back and brought each one forward that he found concerns with and together we were able to correct much of the family tree…. Read the full story

Trying to research genealogy in any country is hard enough but when you don’t speak the language nor understand the culture it becomes close to impossible. Lasse has been enormously helpful getting me started on my journey tracing Finnish family roots. Submitted by: Alex Moes

I undertook a massive project to document my family tree, all of it and choose Geni.com over ancestry because it allowed me to actually connect with other family members. It all started when my mother was dying of cancer and gave me “the family files”….most of you probably understand that responsibility. But for me, it was even more of a challenge…you see my mother’s side of the family was very well documented and they were… Read the full story
