I am a Geni Pro. Also, I'm an Ancestry.com World Explorer subscribe and a MyHeritage DataPlus suscriber.
I first vet my Ancestry profiles using all sources available to me before entering them into Geni via SmartCopy.
Six months ago AARP offered me a well discounted rate on a Newspapers.com Basic subscription. That is about to expire.
I can attest that Newspapers.com Basic does allow automatic clipping into my Ancestry tree. I have definitely found it useful on numerous occasions. However, Geni collaborators wishing to vet my SmartCopied research will only be able to see the Newspapers.com clippings if they are also paid Ancestry subscribers.

I would like to know if anyone here is a Newspapers.com Publisher Extra subscriber, and whether it's worth the added cost. Lately I've been encountering a number of Newspapers.com hits that won't open because I'm only a Basic subscriber. It smells sort of like a scam, but it might be worth trying for 6 months -- I always make certain never to auto-renew on a first try!
I use Newspapers.com primarily to fetch obituaries as sources for deaths within the past 100 years, which list descendants born after 1940.
Thank you.
