Although I am currently the curator of this profile and I do have Elkins in my family tree this is not my area (my Elkins are in the UK) so I bow to the superior knowledge of those already working in this area and ask:
William Luken Elkins the son of Susannah nee Howell and George Elkins or was he the son of her sister Rebecca nee Howell who married William Luken Elkins?

I’m working through a book on Dungan genealogy that shows William Lukens Elkins was the youngest son of William Lukens and Rebecca (Howell) Elkins not that of her sister, Susannah, who also married an Elkin. I have found the book to be well researched from family bibles, wills, etc. I was wondering if you could take a look. I don’t want to merge the duplicates as it says the direct relations will be detached.
