From Salem VR, we know that there are two ladies born to Swinerton families in Salem (Mass.) - Ruth, d. Benjamin, bp. Oct. 3, 1725. and Ruth, d. James and Sarah, June 28, 1721.
Salem VR - Marriages - has two marriages for Ruth Swinerton - Ruth, and John Putnam, jr., Feb. 4, 1741-2. and Ruth, and Jacob How of Marlboro, Dec. 8, 1742.
From The Howe Genealogies (link - https://archive.org/details/howegenealogiesb01howe/page/60/mode/2up), we know that a Ruth Swinerton born "about 1721" married Jacob Howe of Marlborough.
https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LZGT-8XX/ruth-swinerton-1721-... has Ruth 1721 as the wife of John Putnam.
Unfortunately, the death record in Danvers is not helpful as to the age of Ruth (Swinerton) Putnam who died "wid., Apr. 1, 1802." And the records for Wales, Mass., have not been setup for digitization. The will of either James or Benjamin Swinerton would be a great help in determining which Ruth married John Putnam.
