I have been working on The Blankman Family since 1948. My database includes over 5,500 descendants of Pieter Blankman (also Blanckman) who lived in Oudesluis, de Zijpe, North Holland, the Netherlands in 1565. Besides the Dutch Blankmans, there are also many Blankmans of German origin who first settled in Cincinnati, Ohio and spread to St. Louis, Mo., Indiana, Iowa and Nebraska. In addition there are many Jewish Blankmans who are descended from immigrants who arrived about 1900 from Russia and Ukraine, and I have some information about these families too.
