HAWKINS Albert Frank Hawkins, 83, Pataskala and formerly of McArthur, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005 in Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. He was a retired employee, the State of Ohio, WWII Army Veteran in the European Thearte, wounded in Italy, former Fire Chief for the village of Darbydale and member Vinton County V.F.W. Post 5299. He was born February 10, 1921, in Raleigh County, WV, son of the late George W. Hawkins and Lena Mae Persinger (Hawkins) Posey. Also preceding him in death was his wife Beulah C. Kincaid Hawkins in 2002. Surviving are a son and two daughters, Frank (Janet) Hawkins of Grove City, Julia "Judy" (Stan Bowen) Wilson, Pataskala, and Drema (Charles) Harrison, Pataskala; five grandchildren, Thomas Wilson (Debra) of NY, NY, Chad Harrison (Kim) of Reynoldsburg, George Hawkins (Heather) of Canal Winchester, Jennifer Hawkins (Jason) of Hilliard, and Dave Skehan (Dana) of MA; three great grandchildren, Ashley, Chase and Madison. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in the GARRETT FUNERAL HOME, McArthur with Pastor Carl Radcliff, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Putnam Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County with military graveside rites by McArthur VFW Post 5299. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, 6-8 p.m.
