Alden Thompson

Alden was found in Addison County, VT in the 1840 census. He and Lois had 4 boys and 3 girls at home with them at the time. In 1850 the family was in Lincoln, Addison, VT and now with 10 kids at home. By looking at the ages, they must have lost 2 kids over the last 10 years. In 1860 they were in Bristol, Addison, VT with 8 kids still at home. By 1870, Lois had died and Alden was in Winnesheik, Iowa working as a farm laborer. He was 65 at the time. In the 1880 census, he was living in Preston, MN with his son, David and family. He died a year later in Iowa.
