About Alexander McClintock
Born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Said to be one of six McClintock brothers who emigrated to Eastern Pennsylvania (Sherman's Dale, Carroll Township, Perry County) in 1740.
The brothers descended from Alexander McClintock, a Scotch Presbyterian who in 1597 left Argyleshire, Scotland to settle in Trintaugh, County Donegal, Ireland (the Scottish MacLintocks lived near Loch Lomond and were said to be a sept of either Clan Colquhoun or Clan Macdougall).
Had 6 children; appears in the Big Spring Presbyterian Church records in 1744
