The application process itself shows the world that MGH nurses don't rest on their laurels. Positive reinforcement is always desirable, but there's an even more important reason I'm interested in Magnet hospital certification. It sends a signal to the world that MGH nurses are working long and hard in the pursuit of excellence. It's sure to attract nurses to the MGH who, to borrow a page from the US Army, aspire to be the best they can be."---Alicia Shiland Rounds, RN, staff nurse, Ellison 19, Thoracic Surgery, 30 years in practice.
