One tree had his father as Karl Nelsen, this may have just been a guress, based on the development of certain of the Carlson, Karlson, Karlssen name. His wifes name was Lula Ella Spencer, which she went by Luella. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1895 with his brothers Charley and Oxcar.
