There are three female servants.
In the 1861 census William is at Forehill with his wife Margaret 54 years, Thomas 25 years a grain merchant, Robert 21 years a shop man, Christina 19 years, John a clerk 18 years, Margaret 16 years, Hendry (sic) 14 years, Andrew 12 years, Jane 9 years, David 7 years and James 4 years. William Crichton his brother in law unmarried nd 58 years is the Foreman. There are 4 servants.
I have found two census records for Andrew McCreath. Nothing else on Family Search or marriage or death records on Scotland's People. I have found his death record confirming both parents names on ancestry in the United States.
In 1888 Andrew and Eliza McCreath travelled back from Glasgow with their children Mary 11 years, Andrew 8 Years, Lesley 7 years, William 3 years and Robert 6 years.(See attached record.)
In the 1900 census Andrew and Elizabeth McCreath have been married 25 years, they have had 6 children 4 of whom are surviving. Andrew is a chemist.

McCREATH, ANDREW S., son of William McCreath (died 1878, aged seventy-five) and Margaret Chrichton (died 1870, aged sixty-three), was born March 8, 1849, in Ayr, Scotland. He was educated at Ayr Academy and Glasgow University for classical course. He took special chemical courses at Andersonian University, Glasgow, under Professors Penny and Dr. Clark, and subsequently at Gottingen, under Professors Wochler and Filtig. He came to America in 1870, and assumed charge of the chemical laboratory at the Pennsylvania steel works, where he remained till August, 1874, when he was appointed by the State geologist, chemist to the Second Geological Survey of Pennsylvania, which position he still holds. He has prepared three reports for the State geologist, and special reports on the mineral resources along the lines of the Shenandoah Valley, Norfolk and Western, and New River railroads. He is actively engaged in his profession. He was married February 4, 1875, to Eliza, daughter of Charles L. and Mary W. Hummel Berghaus. (Updated March 2016)
