Brief overview:

Annel (37), owner of the Loebies predator park outside Bela-Bela, was found dead in the bathroom at the Cayley Mountain Resort in Winterton, Drakensberg, on 9th September 2019. Her partner, businessman Chris Luüs (44), who found her hanging behind the bathroom door, contacted the management of the resort, who in turn contacted the police.

The initial postmortem findings were that Annel had suffocated and ruled that she had committed suicide. Family members contested this and requested a second opinion. An inquest docket was opened and it was found that Annel was murdered.
