About Anthony Jarvis Reed
Anthony Jarvis "A.J." Reed age 18 years a resident of the Jonestown Rd near Belington, went home to be with the Lord at 8:15 pm Sunday, April 15, 2007 at his home.
He was born February 5, 1989 at Morgantown, a son of Charles Edward and Vicki Lynne Fitzwater Reed who survive at Belington.
A.J is survived by one brother, Charles "Mickey" Reed and one sister Susan Pomp both of Belington, one nephew, Travis Pomp, two nieces, Brooke Pomp and Kelsi Reed. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Randall Fitzwater of Philippi, Beverly Hardy of Clarksburg, Katrina and Doug Meadows of Maryland, several cousins and special neighbors, Richard and Jackie Jones. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Fitzwater.
He was a Junior at Philip Barbour High School, a member and participant of Barbour County Special Olympics, and a member of Faithway Baptist Church.
A.J. enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Knight Rider" movies, and cruising town in his General Lee. He was a kind hearted person that would bring a smile to everyone he met.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington on Wednesday, April 18th from 5-9 pm and on Thursday until 11am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Downing Gregory and Rev. Bill Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery at Belington. In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at the Freedom Bank for Barbour County Special Olympics to honor A.J. Reed. Donations need to be made payable to Vicki Reed or Susan Pomp. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Anthony Jarvis "A.J." Reed.
