Anton Selius Sorenson

Anton died at his home three miles east of this village this morning at three o'clock. Mr. Sorenson has been a patient sufferer, having been confined to his bed since last February with Brights disease and anemia. Pneumonia, however was the direct cause of death, He was born in Arendal, Norway and would have been 67 years of age if he had lived until March 1, 1930. Mr. Sorenson has been a resident of this community for the past 35 years. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Monson, 33 years ago and to this union were born two sons and one daughter, who survive him. Mr. Sorenson was a good neighbor and a friend and highly respected in the community where he has lived for so many years. He was a good Christian and a member of the First Lutheran church of Ashby. His death will be deeply mourned and sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones. Anton immigrated to Minnesota in 1884.
