Ben Hill Lawrence

Ben Hill Lawrence, 67, of Adrian died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon in Adrian.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Chafin Lawrence; three sons, Kermit Lawrence of Brunswick, Don Lawrence of Dublin and Dewel Lawrence of Jefferson; two daughters, Mrs. Annette Blizzard of Americus and Miss Judy Lawrence of Adrian; a step-son, Maynard Chafin now serving in Vietnam; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ann Poindexter of Cocoa, Fla., and Mrs. Martha Williamson of Vidalia; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Mae Crapps and Mrs. Nona Bell Rogers, both of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Mrs. Walter Beasley of Jacksonville, Fla. and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Poplar Springs Methodist Church near Adrian, with the Rev. Griffin Thompson, Rev. Cecil Ruffin and Rev. James Rush officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton is in charge of arrangements.
