Father of four children: Caitlyn Marie Jenner (formerly known as Bruce Jenner, an American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete), Burt, Lisa and Pam. Son, Burt was killed in 1976 after a car accident.
William Jenner, was a tree surgeon and he had competed in the U.S. Army Olympics in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1945, and won a silver medal in the 100-yard dash.

William Hugh Jenner died on Dec. 28 of cancer in Carnelian Bay. He was 77.
He was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, on Feb. 7, 1923 to Bertha Mae and Hugh Burton Jenner and spent his youth in the Boston area, later relocating to Westchester County, N.Y. where he joined the army in 1942. He heroically served his country with the 5th Ranger Battalion landing on Omaha Beach on D-Day and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He served through the occupation and was honorably discharged in November, 1945.
He participated in the Army Olympics during the war, was an avid water skier and flew ultralight airplanes.
After a career in tree surgery and landscaping, he worked at the Sierra Boat Co. in Carnelian Bay, where he lived for 13 years.
He was preceded in death by his son Burt in 1976. He is survived by his daughter Pamela J. Mettler of Palm Beach, Fla.; son Bruce Jenner of Los Angeles; daughter Lisa D. Jenner of Carnelian Bay; grandchildren Burt, Casey, Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Samantha Marulli; and the mother of his children, Esther of Kamiah, Idaho.
Inurement will be in the spring at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
