Obituary- "Aug 27 2011 Billy Joe Boggs, 87, of Ivydale, entered into rest Friday, August 26, 2011. Born May 16, 1924 in Clay Co. He was the son of the late Harry and Effa Della Boggs. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Allison Burdette, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

He was veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW post 4419 Clay.

Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charlene Boggs of Ivydale, daughters, Bobbie (Larry) Huffman of Mt. Nebo, Melody Reed of Ivydale, grandchildren, Jill Mullins of Va, Erin Reed and Sarah Johnson both of Ky., Brian Reed of NY., 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister Helen Birch of N.C.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday, August 29, 2011 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Jimmy Adkins officiating.
