Bob Cerveny

Robert Frank Cerveny, 82, of Washington, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday at his residence. Born March 13, 1930, in Washington, he was the son of Frank and Grace (Rosenberry) Cerveny.

He had worked at B and O Shops, U.S. Railway, McCord Corp., and was a farmer and carpenter.

He is survived by his first wife, Lenora (Alford) Hart and their daughter Patty Ingle.

He is also survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley L. (Fox) Cerveny, whom he married Dec. 31, 1959; two daughters, Suzanne Riggle and Carol (Jon) Ashby; one son, David (Jill) Cerveny; one granddaughter, Erin (Dustin) Cox; four grandsons, Brian (Janelle) Riggle, Michael Ashby, Dereck Ashby, and Garrett Ashby; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Brecklin Cox and Abigail Grace Riggle; five stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; one niece, Marie Psenski; and two nephews, Bob and Jim Elkins of Michigan

. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Joe Elkins. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Harting officiating. Burial was in New Veale Cemetery.
