Bobby Lee “”Locust” Crabtree

Pennington Gap, VA Bobby Lee (Locust) Crabtree, age 56 of Woodway, VA passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2009 while at work. Locust was a lifelong resident of Lee County. He is preceded in death by his infant brother, Darrel Wayne Crabtree. His grandparents, Bob Frank and Myrtle Crabtree of Dryden, VA. Squib and Katie Whited of Woodway, VA.

He is survived by his parents, Doc and Billie Jean Crabtree of the 58 community. His daughter, Angela Helen Crabtree Rannells and husband Ron , 2 grandchildren, Mary and Kyle Rannells all of Smiths Grove, KY. Sisters: Janie Hobbs of Woodway,Va, Doris (Crickett) Shinn of Jonesboro, TN, Jodi Harr , West Palm Beach, FL, Mary Lynn Cousin of Henderson, NC, Debra Sue Cope of Tampa, FL. Brothers: Junior Crabtree, Newport, TN, Jim (Red) Crabtree, Jonesville, VA, John (Hearty) Crabtree of Dot, VA. Franko Crabtree of Dot, VA, and Buck Crabtree of Nickelsville, VA. Several nieces and nephews, his employer, David and Robin Robbins and family. Special friends, Jerry and Jim Laws. Hattie Williams of Newport, TN, a close family friend.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Sturgill Funeral Home from 6 until 8:00 P. M. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 P. M. with Rev. Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Committal graveside services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 P. M. at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway. Pallbearers will be, Fred Fields, Jim laws, Jerry Laws, Archie Woliver, and Johnny (Dog) Bishop, and Jack Huff.
