About Chaim Shimony
It was the 29th of November 1947. The day when the decision to
establish a jewish state in the land of Israel was accepted by the
united nation.
In the middle of the night my uncle Shimon Yankel Shimony and
Chaim woke me up,put some clothes over my pajamas and took me with them to celebrate in the streets of Jerusalem,that important history decision.
When I hear the song " Yesh lee kinneret "("I have a kinneret"-the
lake of Tyberia )it always reminds me of Chaim,who sang it so beautifully. Ya'akov Shimony.
