Charles Carson, 77 years of age, son of the famed pioneer Indian scout, Kit Carson, died here today after a brief illness. The last surviving member of Kit Carson's immediate family. Charles Carson had lived on a ranch near Higbee, in Southern Colorado, since 1884.
