http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=58821895
Birth: Feb. 16, 1857 Death: Jan. 19, 1945
Son of John Yarborough [1817-1905] and Sarah Ann Pearson Yarborough [1832-1878], husband of Fannie Willie [Fannie] Warren Webb Yarborough [1860-1896] and Julia Breeden Yarborough [1875-1951], C. J. or "Joe" fathered 17 children, 10 with his first wife Fannie and 7 with his second wife Julia. He was a well-known farmer in St. Helena Parish, LA, living the last 20 years of his life in Kentwood, LA. His obituary appeared in the McComb MS Enterprise Journal on Jan. 26, 1945, because his son Thomas Walter [my grandfather] lived in McComb with his own family. The broken fragments of his tombstone lie at the foot of his infant son's grave in Day's United Methodist Church Cemetery near Liverpool LA [see image]. He was a farmer primarily but also a Sheriff of St. Helena Parish, LA for many years. His first wife Fannie was the young widow of William G. Webb, with an infant, Oscar Webb Jr., when they married and C. J. adopted Fannie's young child and raised him with his own growing family.
