Charles Joseph Wagenberg, born June 13, 1920 in Chicago.
Charles had a long, good life.
He enjoyed playing piano.
He graduated from the University of Chicago.
He was captain and point guard of their Big Ten varsity basketball team (1939-42). During WWII, he proudly enlisted in U.S. Air Force.
He worked on the development of air born radar with the RAF and 8th Air Force B-24 bombers.
After the war, he was president of Central Bindery & Loose Leaf Manufacturing Co. He married Temma and together they raised their family in Glencoe.
Devoted husband of the late Temma, nee Cohen, for 55 years; loving father of Bruce and Marcy; son of the late Max and Gertrude, nee Manaster; dear brother of Ruth (the late Jack) Shandling , the late Leona (the late Joe) Burns and Elaine (Sidney) Brichta; cherished uncle of many nephews and nieces.
Charles was loved by many and will be missed.
Service Wednesday, 12 Noon at Temple Beth-El, 3610 Dundee Rd., Northbrook, IL 60062.
