CONSTANTINE KIRBABAS,64: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Chicago Tribune (IL) - Wednesday, November 21, 2001 Deceased Name: CONSTANTINE KIRBABAS,64 Constantine Kirbabas, 64, of Carol Stream, a computer salesman whose personality made him a natural to work with people, died Sunday, Nov. 18, in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Born in Ohio, Mr. Kirbabas graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton, where he was an all-city center in football. A natural athlete, he also was a baseball catcher. "He was quite the big man on campus in his day," his son Mark said. Mr. Kirbabas served three years in the Air Force. His love of football continued with the Chicago Bears, who he jokingly referred to as "the dumb Bears," his son said. "He was the kind of man who loved to work, really enjoyed work," his son said. Mr. Kirbabas easily made friends and kept old ones. "Half the flowers for the funeral came from high school classmates and old friends," his son said. Mr. Kirbabas was a past president of the Carol Stream chapter of Lions Club International and was a longtime member of Aheppa, a Greek men's organization. Along with his son, Mr. Kirbabas is survived by his wife, Marcia; a daughter, Dena Hesselberg; another son, Christopher; three brothers, John, Perry and Nick; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Brust Funeral Home, 415 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream.
