Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Etheridge, 68 were held on Monday. She died at her home following a long illness.

Rites were held a the Assembly of God church with the pastor, Rev. Troy Frazier, assisted by Rev. Ingram, pastor of Loving Methodist church.

Mrs. Etheridge recently celebrated her birthday. She came to Texas before her marriage from Louisiana. Mrs. Etheridge had lived in Loving for 11 years before moving to Olney last July.

Cora Etta Howland married James Thomas Ethridge on 29 January 1889 at Madison County, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband on 20 November 1938. Three children preceded her in death.

Survivors: five sons - Louis, Lonnie and Frank Etheridge of Olney, Lester of Luling, Tom of Loving; three daughters - Mrs. Ruth Alexander of Loving, Mrs. Claudie Winnett of Kamay, Mrs. Clara Venturi of Olney.

Pallbearers were: Elbert and Thelbert Andrews, Clyde Smith, Cletus Kerr, C.E. Bracey, C. Doane, all of Olney.
