Mrs. Fairy B. Hendricks, 72, of 640 W. Findlay Street, died at 9:55 p. m. Thursday, January 10, 1974, in her home. She had been ill for the past two years with cancer.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in Crates Funeral Home with burial in Lee Cemetery, Amanda Township, Hancock County. The Rev Robert Breese of Vanlue United Methodist Church officiated.

Mrs. Hendricks was born April 2, 1901 in Amanda Township to Alvin J. and Rosa (Stahl) Cole. She was married to H. Eugene Hendricks, October 14, 1920, and he survives.

Also surviving is a son, John A., Carey; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Doris) Leichty, Port Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Leora Davis, Mt. Blanchard; a brother, Ralph M. Cole, Mt Blanchard; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Vanlue church, the Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Gold Star Mothers.

Doris L. Leichty, 90, of Port Clinton, OH, formerly of Carey, OH died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:03 p.m. at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH.

Born on March 5, 1923 in Vanlue, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Eugene and Fairy (Cole) Hendricks.

On January 19, 1945 in Bowling Green, OH, she married Dale E. Leichty. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2003.

Surviving are her four children; Deborah (Chris) Brandstrup, Port Clinton, OH, Derinda Bradley, Port Clinton, OH, Doug (Mary Ann) Leichty, Fisherville, KY, Karen ( Jerry) Fletcher, Carey, OH, and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Leichty, and two brothers; Donald & John Hendricks.
