About Dr Dewitt Faucett
Dr. Dewitt Faucett, M.D. is the son of Jesse Faucett and Mary Ellen (Manley) Faucett.
He was the husband of Annie (Aiken) Faucett. They were married on August 23, 1916 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama.
Dr. Dewitt Faucett, M.D. was a Physician in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama. In 1914, his office was located at 306-307 Etowah Bk Building.
DeWitt Faucett and his older brother, Dr. George Leonard Faucett, learned the value of hard work early in life by working with brothers and sisters on the family farm in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama. While growing up on the farm, DeWitt lost two brothers and one sister to dysentery and diptheria. He and his brother, George, developed a strong interest in medicine at an early age. The two young brothers worked very hard on the farm and saved their money to pay their own way through school. Dr. DeWitt Faucett and Dr. George Faucett came to Gadsden and both boarded at the Barret Hotel. The 1910 census confirms they were living at Laura Keeling Barret's hotel. Dr. DeWitt Faucett married Annie Aiken. Both are buried in Forrest Cemetery. Data derived from Faucett stories published in The Heritage of Etowah County, Alabama.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Nov 20 2023, 15:12:28 UTC
