About Dr Herbert A. Mercier

Age 93, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Arlene A. Hoffman Mercier.

Herb graduated from Allegheny College, the University of Pittsburgh Dental School and attended the University of Pennsylvania for maxillofacial surgery. He was a Captain in the Air Force that was stationed at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. Upon returning to Northwestern Pennsylvania, Dr. Mercier set up practice in Erie and was on staff at both St. Vincent and Hamot Hospitals. Herb enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
