Born in Marion County, Alabama on February 3, 1845 and enlisted May 1, 1862. Admitted to 2nd Alabama Hospital on April 20, 1863 for typhoid and furloughed home to Marion County, Alabama for 50 days on June 5, 1863. Present at Andersonville. Applied for pension in Hamilton, Lamar County, Alabama after war and still lived there in 1911. Gave deposition of service as Dr. W. F. Clark for George S. McKay's widow on November 5, 1914.
