Earl J . Baldridge Earl John Baldridge, son of Clarence E. and Mary Steinman Baldridge, was born April 1, 1910 and died March 9, 2001 at the age of 90. Along with his parents, he moved to the farm south of Belleville in 1916 and lived all of his life there except for eight years when he lived in town. He attended his first eight years of school at Belleville Center and graduated from Belleville High School in 1928. Earl and his mother operated the Baldridge Chicken Hatchery for many years and her farm. In 1956 he was elected as Clerk of District Court and served in that capacity for 29 years, retiring in 1986. He was united in marriage to Irma Irene Moe on June 6, 1935 at Smith Center and to this union three children were born. He was a 25 year charter member of the local Good Sams Club, serving with his wife as Publicity Chairman and other offices. He was a member of the Dunkard Church, rural Belleville, moving his membership to the Belleville Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; son Walter; son-in-law Robert Rinderer. He is survived by his son Clarence Baldridge. Clay Center, NE; daughter Ruth Rinderer, Bennington; daughter-inlaw Pat Baldridge. Belleville; 11 grandchildren: 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 13, at the Belleville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Mark McGregor officiating. Burial was in the Belleville City Cemetery.
