Earl "One Lung" McClung ( 27 of April of 1923 - 27 of November of 2013 ) was a sergeant of Easy Company, a member of the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army in World War II . The company was made famous by the Band of Brothers miniseries , where McClung was played by Rocky Marshall . McClung's life story was also featured in the book We Who Are Alive and Remain | Who Are Alive and Remain: Untold Stories from Band of Brothers .
