Her father was a soldier of the American Revolution. Edith married Joseph Carroll and the family moved to Thomas County, GA in 1838.
Zebulon Hollingsworth, son of Henry and Mary, soldier of the
American Revolution, married Elizabeth Chesnutt, a daughter of Jacob
Chesnutt, and lived on a plantation south of Turkey where Jim Hines
now lives. He and his family are buried there. They had the
following children: Stephen (born 1794), who married Elizabeth
Colwell; Henry (born 1798) who married Mary Carroll; Jacob who married
Catherine Treadwell;
Edith who married Joseph Carroll and lived at
Thomasville, Georgia; Jane who married Richard Colwell; Mary who
married Thomas Vann; Annie; and Elizabeth who married John Kelly and
lived in Florida.
