Description: CLAIMS:-

1. 1. An air cleaner for internal combustion engines, comprising a filter chamber, a supercharging chamber including a rotor connected to a partly hollowed shaft operated by the engine, a valve intermediate the chambers for controlling the flow of air therethrough, means for automatically controlling the valve, said means including a governor mounted on said shaft, a rod extending through the hollow part of the shaft and operatively connected to the valve so that on increased engine speed the governor will move said rod to open the valve thereby increasing the flow of air to a carburetor of an engine of the class specified.
2. 2. An air cleaner for internal combustion engines, comprising a filter chamber having a screen cover, a fabric strainer in the filter chamber, a supercharging chamber including a rotor connected to a partly hollowed shaft operated by the engine, a valve chamber intermediate the first named chambers, a hinged valve and a sliding valve in the valve chamber, said valves operated by manual control, an automatically controlled valve in the valve chamber including a governor mounted on said shaft, a rod extending through the hollow part of the shaft and operatively connected to the automatic valve so that an increased engine speed the governor will move said rod to open the valve thereby increasing the flow of air to a carburetor of an engine on the class specified.

An air cleaner for internal combustion engines, comprising a filer chamber having a screen cover, a fabric strainer in the filter chamber, a supercharging chamber including a rotor connected to a partly hollowed shaft operated by the engine, a lead off from the supercharging chamber to the carburetor of an engine, a spring controlled safety valve in the lead off, a valve chamber intermediate the first named chambers, a hinged valve and a sliding valve in the valve chamber, said valves operated by manual control, an automatically controlled valve in the valve chamber including a governor mounted on said shaft, a rod extending through the hollow part of the shaft and operatively connected to the automatic valve so that on increased engine speed the governor will move said rod to open the valve thereby increasing the flow of air to a carburetor of an engine of the class specified.
