About Elizabeth Brameld
Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Careless (nee. Brown) of Parkgate, England. Thomas Careless died May 15, 1897 at the age of 71. He was buried in the Rawmarsh Cemetery on May 18, 1897.
Elizabeth Careless married William Brameld October 29, 1874 at the Independent Chapel, Masbro (England). Rev. John Bonser officiated.
Elizabeth and William had seven children: Mary, Mabel, William, Bernard, Thomas, Walter, and Alfred. The family emigrated from England to America (c.1881) with their three oldest children. There were several family trips back and forth across the pond until the decision was made to stay in America.
Elizabeth and William had a house built for the family at 22 Hopper Street in Paterson, NJ.
