John Gourly (Gourley), Wrightstown Twp. File #272. Sept. 10, 1760. Widow Elizabeth (now Lacey). Left several small children under 14, one of which is since dead. Children: John (eldest son, not yet 14), Joseph, Samuel, Mary, Elizabeth and Margaret besides Sarah who died about four years old since the death of her father. John Terry, Thomas Smith and John Wilkinson appointed guardians.
Sept. 11, 1769. Eldest son John now arrived at 21.
Mar. 12, 1770. Widow Elizabeth. Eldest son John takes his father's property.
Sept. 14, 1772. Children Elizabeth and Margaret, over 14, petition for guardians. Thomas Watson appointed.
March 8, 1773. Daughter Mary (now Reeder), petitions for guardian. Her husband William Reeder appointed.
March 11, 1776. Daughter Elizabeth, under 21, now married to John Wilkinson Jr. Previous guardian was Thomas Watson. Her husband now appointed as guardian.
