About Elizabeth Grace Watts
The name of the place is Chapmanslade, Wiltshire, England
This information has been collected as part of Thorne family from Newnham to Canterbury New Zealand.
The date of birth is from IGI, the place is from the 1915 Death certificate.
Chapmans is not a name of a parish in Wiltshire. There is a Chapmanslade or Chapmans Hill. If you do a google map search it does come up with a location if Chapmans near Wiltshire. It is hard to narrow this down.
The death certificate suggests that she was born in Chapmans Lane, Bath, Wiltshire.
1861 Census states that she was born in Newnham, Gloucestershire.
There is a birth certificate for a Elizabeth Grace Watts ub Warmister, Wiltshire (Vol V111 Page 425). There is nothing apart from the name to suggest this is the correct one.
Another conflicting birthdate - Abt Dec 1843 Bromsgrove, Worchester, England
Volume 18 Page 21 (index unreadable)
Bromsgrove is SW of Birmingham.
This birth reference is unlikely though it is what is recorded in the 1851 census.
