About Elsie Mae Naff
Elsie Mae Stanley Naff, 94, of Botetourt County, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was a lifelong member of Cloverdale Church of the Brethren and was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie L. Sr. and Hannah Bushnell Stanley; brothers, Lewis "Pete" Stanley, Sam Stanley, Earl Stanley and Herbert Stanley; sister, Margaret White; as well as her husband, Daniel Curtis Naff, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Elsie is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel C. Jr. and Linda Naff, Ricky D. and Donna Naff; grandson, Daniel Hunter Naff; granddaughter, Keira Danielle Naff; brother, Jessie Stanley, Jr.; sisters, Alta S. Robertson and Charlotte S. McKinney; brothers-in-law, Glen Naff and wife, Mary, Ralph Naff; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Stanley, Betty Caricofe and husband, J.H.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Elsie had a generous heart and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a wonderful cook and gardener and an intrepid shopper. The family is deeply grateful for the loving care that Elsie received at The Glebe and finally at Bethel Ridge. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Patrick Starkey officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
