Obituary: "George M. Edgell, 77, of Market Manor, Parkersburg passed away Nov. 20, 2001, at the Manor. He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Folsom, W.Va., son of the late Noah W. and Armeania Trader Edgell.

He worked in the dark room at Nashua Photo, where he retired after 23 years of service. He was a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by three sons, Daniel W. Edgell of Batovia, Ohio, Allan P. Edgell of Cincinnati, Ohio and Carl Smith of Parkersburg; two daughters, Bonnie Smith of Hampton, Va. and Margaret Johnson of Parkersburg; three brothers, Noah W. Edgell Jr. of Wilmington, N.C., Don Edgell of Oldtown, Fla. and Francis W. Edgell of Weirton, W.Va.; five sisters, Hazel M. Hayhurst of Youngstown, Ohio, Goldie M. Hayhurst of Geneva, Ohio, Mable G. Swiger of Painesville, Ohio, Nancy P. Hardesty of Suncity West, Ariz. and Betty I. Morris of Parkersburg; one very special niece, Barbara Morris Kuhn of Leland, N.C., who helped him with the loss of his first wife; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ullstrom Edgell; his second wife, Lueania Basham Edgell; one son, Lawrence K. Smith; one sister, Ruth E. Hayhurst; and two brothers.

Candlelight services will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Coffman will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home."
