Lancaster Newspaper, unknown date: GLADYS W. KING, 80, SHOE CO. RETIREE Gladys W. Ruth King, 80, of 1827 Putter Ave., died Friday morning at Ephrata Manor after a brief illness. Mrs. King retired from Badorf Shoe Co., Lititz.

She was a former member of St. James Catholic Church, Lititz.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ella Whitcaft Brown. She was married 11 years in May to Charles W. King. Her first husband, Elmer E. Ruth, died in 1988.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Michael L. Ruth of Satellite Beach, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Susan, married to Joseph Keemer of Lancaster; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory L. Ruth and a sister, Loretta Ream.
