About Hazel Arlene Day
Hazel Arlene Day, 77, of Washington, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
She was born March 8, 1939, in Rural Anna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Orville and Wanetta Nolte Wrigley.
Ms. Day graduated from Anna (Ohio) High School and St. Rita’s Hospital School of Nursing.
A registered nurse, she owned and operated Hazel Day’s Homes.
Ms. Day was a devoted member of Fairhill Manor Church, where she sang in the choir.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother.
She loved all kinds of animals.
Surviving are a son, Gregg Day (Francine) of Heidelberg; a daughter, Diane Pleskovich (John) of Washington; two grandchildren, Abbigayle and Mackenzie Day; a niece, Darla Shephard; and nephews, David and Darrell Heintz.
Deceased is a sister, Martha Heintz.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 till 11 a.m., the time of service, Wednesday, August 18th, in Fairhill Manor Church, with Pastor Michael Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
