Herbert Schilling Triebold

Herbert S. Triebold, 70, rural Valley City, died Saturday, November 29, 1986, at a Valley City hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3 at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Holden officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Herbert S. Triebold was born February 23, 1916, near Valley City, the son of Herbert H. and Clara (Schilling) Triebold. He grew up there and attended school at Alta School #8. On April 20, 1939, he married Lucille Potzman at Enderlin, N.D. The couple farmed near Valley City.

He was a member of the Salem Methodist Church and served on the Alta Township and school boards. He also served on the Hillside Cemetery Board.

He is survived by his wife; Lucille; four children, Herbert A., Gary, Carol (Mrs. Bjarne) Breske and Mary (Mrs. Duane) Person, all Valley City; a brother, Lloyd, Valley City; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at the Peterson-Olson Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
