Iris Laura Ann Allard

CORNELL — Iris L. Allard, 76, of Cornell, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at the Cornell Area Care Center.

She was born the daughter of William and Lillian Jenkins (Studley) March 12, 1930, in Cornell and graduated from the Cornell high school in 1947.

Iris married Donald Allard Sept. 11, 1947, in Missouri. Don’s work took them to Illinois and Kenosha before moving back to Cornell in 1968.

Iris was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Iris loved to read and listen to worship services.

Survivors include: her husband, Don; her daughters, Linda (Bob) Queen of Cornell, Susan (Wayne George) Allard of Waunakee, Julia O’Neil of Kasson, Minn. and Sandy Allard of Chippewa Falls; her sons, Donald Allard Jr. of Holcombe, Paul Allard of Kasson, Minn., Phillip (Sue) Allard of Cornell and Joel (Judy) Allard of Holcombe; one sister, Geraldine Dayment of Tomah; and one brother, John (Verna ) Studley of Ocala, Fla. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Iris was preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Smith, Beverly Wilson and Mamie Christie; two brothers, Patrick and William Studley.

Funeral services for Iris will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Faith Baptist Church in Cornell with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Borton Funeral Home in Cornell and one hour prior to services at the Church on Thursday.
