The 1871 census has Isaac Snr Head of house at 87 years of age described as a pauper former thatcher born in Swell. Isaac is living with his wife, Anna (66) born in North Curry.

He is still living next door to his son Isaac (this profile), whom the census lists as aged 50 and a Thatcher and shop-keeper born at Isle Abbotts. His wife Harriet is 49 and their daughter Ellen is still at home as a 22 year old kid glove maker born in Ruishton.

By the 1881 census, Isaac (61 - Thatcher b. Isle Abbotts) is living at Roundoak with his wife Harriet (59 b Isle Abbotts) only.
