They were not married long before he died and she remained a widow for 48 years! He is buried here as well.
After the death of his first wife, Joseph Bloomfield married Isabella Ramsey (1779–1871), the daughter of John Ramsey.

Isabella married her first husband, John William Macomb, on April 10, 1804 in NYC. John was the 2nd child of William and Sarah Dring Macomb. Sarah is Memorial# 6684758. He died on June 28, 1815 in Detroit.
Isabella and John Macomb had 4 daughters and left many descendants. Their first child, Isabella, married Dr. William Wetherill, and had 15 children. She died in Paris, 1871, one year before her husband. Daughter Frances Sarah Dring Gumbes is memorial #21065889.
Isabella was the second wife of Gen. Joseph Bloomfield, whom she married on Nov. 13, 1820, in Courtlandt, New York. He had no children by either of his wives and died Oct 3, 1823 in Burlington, NJ.
