About Jacob Koontz Sidle
Co-founder and once President of the First National Bank in Minneapolis. Jacob and his brother Henry founded the bank around 1858, and Jacob was president until his death in 1888, at which time, his brother took over as president.
Jacob Koontz Sidle, banker, b. in Dillsburgh, Pa., March 31, 1821; d. in Minneapolis, Jan. 25, 1888. He came to Minneapolis in 1857, and started a private bank.
