James Hulan Everett, 73, of Rector, Ark., died Sunday, October 2, 1988 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Everett was born and reared in the Steele area, attending schools at Gibson and Steele.
He was a Baptist, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies, a Shriner, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10480, and a veteran of World War II.
He leaves his wife, Freeda Speer Everett, of the home; two sons: James Larry Everett of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Jerry Lee Everett of Rector; one brother, Joseph G. Everett, of Ferndale, Mich.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were to have been held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 1988 at Irby Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jerry Roberts and Brother Allen Cureton officiated, with burial to have been at Woodland Heights Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
