THE WEEKLY PANTAGAPH, FEBRUARY 25 1887 Champaign, III., Feb. 20.—Mrs. Jane K Pierce, wife of Rev. W. G. Pierce, pastor of the Congregational church In this city for fifteen years past, died last night, after a lingering Illness of many years. Her age was 72 years. She was a woman of sweet and winning character and her death creates a profound impression in this city. She leaves a husband, an old and popular pastor; one son, John L. Pierce, of Norfolk, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Tracy, of Elmwood, III., and one daughter at home. She was a relative of the late Judge David Davis The body will be removed to Canaan, Conn., after funeral services on Tuesday morning.
