JANET MURPHY IS THE LATE DAUGHTER OF RETA M SIMMONS AND DAVID H MURPHY Janet L. Murphy was wonderfull all the way to the end of her life .She had a son named Terry E Godfrey and a husband named Delmer Ray Godfrey. They lived at the time of her death in West Columbia S.C. and had a grandchild of 13 .That by the way They loved more than life. So much that Janet decided that she was not going to die on Amandas birth day so she made it until a couple minutes after mid night on June 30 (July 1, 1998).After forcing her self to eat a piece of her grandchilds birthday cake and saying all of her good byes She slipped away. She had lost her battle with cancer.She has been missed dearly and will always be in our thoughts. She was creamated and some of her ashes were spread in W.V. over her 2 childrens grave that proceeded her and the rest were mixed with her late husband Delmer R Godfrey and set off to the sea.
