Jessie James Hindman, 86, of New Hope died Sunday at a Claysville nursing home.

The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the New Hope First Baptist Church with Smith Ledbetter and the Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial was to be in the Moon Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Hindman; a stepdaughter, Wilma Vaughn of New Hope; three sisters, Mary Cook of Huntsville, Eula Martin of Owens Cross Roads and Ann Burnett of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
