Following a lingering illness, Joab Tracy, 45 years old, died Saturday morning at the home, 724 East High street. Deceased was born April 27, 1869 in Henry county, Ill., where he was educated. Later he attended a private school at Geneseo, Ill., for several years. On Dec. 26, 1894, he was married to, Miss Harriet Wersing of Orient, Ill., where the ceremony took place. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Harriet Tracy and a son, Ray Tracy, besides three sisters and three brothers. The body was taken to the O. C. Hill funeral parlors, and will be held there preceding shipment to New Windsor, Ill., where burial will be made in the family lot, New Windsor Cemetery.
